Ethnic groups in Africa number in the hundreds, each generally having its own language (or dialect of a language) and culture. The ethnolinguistic groups include various Afroasiatic, Khoisan, Niger-Congo and Nilo-Saharan populations. We will focus on the following ethnic groups. These tribes are known for their deep spiritual traditions, use of ancestral wisdom, ritual healing, and symbolic guardianship through masks, dance, and nature-based meditation.
