Feeling Mentally Exhausted in the Heat — How Do You Cope?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to open a conversation because this heat has been hitting harder than I expected. When you already live with anxiety, low mood, burnout, or any kind of mental health vulnerability, extreme temperatures can make everything feel heavier — literally and emotionally.

For me, the heat brings a mix of irritability, fatigue, and that strange “foggy” feeling where even simple tasks feel overwhelming. I know I’m not the only one, so I thought it might help to share what’s going on and hear how others are navigating it.

Here are a few things I’ve been trying:

- Cooling routines — short lukewarm showers, cold compresses on the wrists, staying near a fan, keeping curtains closed during the day.

Pylones and the Joy of Playful Painting Objects - Collection Palette

Art doesn’t only live in museums — it lives on our tables, in our kitchens, on our desks.

This is something the French brand Pylones understands deeply. Their whimsical, color‑splashed objects transform ordinary moments into tiny creative rituals, reminding us that beauty and imagination can be part of daily life.

As an art therapist and creative facilitator, I’m always searching for ways to help people reconnect with their inner artist. Sometimes that reconnection begins not with a canvas, but with a simple object that sparks joy — a brushstroke‑patterned tray, a palette‑shaped cutting board, a vase that looks like a burst of color.

Why Pylones Fits the Spirit of Creative Well‑Being

- Everyday creativity — Their objects invite playfulness without pressure. You don’t need to “be an artist” to enjoy them.

The Gentle Power of Neuroplasticity: Why Small Daily Actions Matter

One of the most comforting ideas in neuroscience is that the brain is always listening. Every small action — a breath, a thought, a new movement — sends a signal that can slowly reshape neural pathways.

This is neuroplasticity in its simplest form: the brain adapting to what we repeat.

It means healing is possible. Learning is possible. Softening old patterns is possible. Not overnight, but through gentle, consistent cues that tell the nervous system, “You are safe enough to change.”

If you’ve been working on new habits, emotional regulation, or stress reduction, know that your brain is literally rewiring itself in response. Even five minutes of mindful breathing can activate the parasympathetic system and support long‑term resilience.

If you want, we can explore how to build a daily relaxation practice or how stress affects the nervous system.

Paris in Bloom

From this terrace overlooking the Seine, with the Eiffel Tower rising like a soft exhale in the distance, the whole city seemed to bloom at once.

Petals leaning toward the sky, rooftops shimmering like brushstrokes still drying in the sun.

Some days, Paris opens like a flower — quietly, effortlessly, as if the whole city is blooming in color.

This moment felt like a small miracle suspended above the Seine: petals, light, rooftops, all humming the same gentle note.

A reminder that beauty often arrives without warning, and asks only that we pause long enough to feel it.

Sky Breath — A One‑Minute Meditation

Take a slow inhale…

Let your eyes rest on the sky above you.

Notice how the light filters through the clouds — not rushing, not forcing, simply arriving.

Let your breath follow that same rhythm:

expanding gently, softening gently.

Parc André Citroën — A Modern Sanctuary In Motion

A wide green expanse opens like a deep breath.

People scatter across the lawn in soft clusters — reading, sketching, resting — each one creating their own little island of calm.

The clean, geometric lines of the park hold everything with quiet clarity, while the playful openness invites you to loosen your shoulders and simply be.

Light moves across the glass buildings like slow thoughts drifting through the mind.

The sky feels close, generous, almost therapeutic.

Art in Bloom — A Creative Journey Begins...

Dear all,

I’m opening a new gentle, nature‑inspired creative journey: Art in Bloom. This course is an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your inner rhythm through watercolor, mindful rituals, and the quiet beauty of flowers.

Over six modules, we’ll explore presence, emotion, expression, and shared creativity — each session unfolding like a season. You’ll paint, write, collage, and reflect in a warm, supportive space where every gesture is welcome. No artistic experience is needed; only curiosity and a desire to reconnect with yourself.

Art in Bloom is for anyone longing for softness, inspiration, and a moment of calm in their week. Together, we’ll create a sanctuary where art becomes a way to breathe, feel, and bloom.

If your heart is calling for a gentle creative pause, you’re warmly invited to join this journey.
